This was a project I knocked out in less than a day during a weekend while I was bored. I had been flipping through the latest advertisement catalog from a music store, and one of the items was a wrist worn metronome. I figured it would be a good challenge to see if I could come up with something that would work on my Apple Watch.
My offering is intentionally sparse on features. On iOS, you pan up and down to change the tempo, on watchOS, turn the Digital Crown. Other than that, there is just one button. I used my old Matrix MR-500 quartz metronome as the reference for the available tempos. Although we live in an age where doing one or even tenth of a beat increments would be simple to do, I like that it references back to something I used as a kid everyday for years learning to play guitar.
